What to Expect Banner.jpg

We realize that visiting any church for the very first time can make anyone a little nervous.

  • Where do I go?
  • What do I wear?
  • What time do I show up?
  • Do I bring my kids in the auditorium with me?

These and other questions can come to your mind. Well, we want to put you at ease. We want your first visit to Bible Baptist Church to be as refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family as much as possible.

Here are a few answers to your questions that we have tried to anticipate...

Where should I go when I arrive?

Our church facility and our front door are clearly marked.   There will be someone in the lobby ready to assist you and answer any questions you may have.  Our children’s ministry room is right off the lobby and the restrooms are located in the back of the auditorium with signs clearly pointing to them.

What should I wear?

There is not a dress code at Bible Baptist Church for members or guests. Our pastor and many of our church family dress in more traditional "Sunday" dress; however, a specific attire is not required, and our members wear a variety of styles of clothing. We think it makes sense to wear clean, modest clothing to church. If you do as well, you certainly will not feel out of place.

Do you have a nursery?

Yes. Our ladies provide assistance during all services for children.

What are your services like?

Our services are what is commonly called "traditional." The worship music primarily is great hymns of the faith as well as some choruses. We do have special music from members of the congregation from time to time.  The focus of all of our meetings is the public worship of God in "psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs" and the faithful preaching and teaching of the Word of God.

Which Version of the Bible do you use?

Based on the teaching of the Bible and on the testimony of history, we are persuaded that the King James Version is the finest, most accurate English translation of the inspired and preserved Words of God that still exist in the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament and the Textus Receptus of the New Testament. If you do not have a copy of God’s Word in English (KJV), we will be happy to let you use one of our KJV Bibles here at the church building.

Do visitors have to stand up and say anything?

No, we would never want to embarrass a guest of ours. We will give you a guest card and ask you to drop it in the offering plate so we can have a record of your visit if you choose to do so.

Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?

No. We do not invite you to Bible Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. Please do not feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

Other questions?

If there is something we have missed in this list, just give us a call or ask the person in the lobby when you arrive. Whether you are new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it has simply been a long time since you have attended church at all, we hope your first visit at Bible Baptist will be a tremendous help to you as well as an encouragement. We exist to preach God's truth from His Word, to serve you and your family, and we are looking forward to meeting you personally. We hope you will feel right at home from the very first moment you step into our church building. Let us know how we can serve you better, and we hope to meet you this Sunday.
